Album "Essence Classique" (2025)

Description

Multi-instrumentalist Judy Hung explores the heart of the Classical era in her new album, Essence Classique. Featuring fortepiano, clavichord, violin, and other instruments—including viola and violoncello da spalla in a mixed ensemble track performed entirely by herself—the recording spans masterpieces from the late 18th to early 19th century, with works by C.P.E. Bach, Haydn, Clementi, Mozart, Auernhammer, Beethoven, and Hummel.

“Essence Classique is both a homage and a reimagining,” says Hung. “It brings together the voices of composers who defined an era, and the instruments that gave them life.” Listeners are invited to experience a fresh perspective on the elegance, clarity, and expressive beauty of the Classical style.

Release: October 2025
