Today, accomplished multi-instrumentalist Judy Hung releases her debut Album “Essence Baroque,” a 24-track cover album, which is now available on all digital service providers.
After years of giving numerous solo Historical Informed Performance (HIP) concerts spanning three continents, Judy Hung decided to use these programs as inspiration for this CD. The following solo baroque violin and harpsichord works were chosen. The instruments selected (among her menagerie of instruments) and the pieces performed are some of her personal favorites. There is also a special surprise at the end of the album.
“This music collection is like a stained-glass window; every movement is a small glass pane, shaped and coloured to give the listener a distinct insight into each composer represented. Together, they create a wonderful view of an amazing era.”
